Dear Mr. Penoyer;
In your letter dated April 26,1990 you have stated that we need to contribute toward
the cost of a traffic signal for the intersection of Winchester Blvd. and Rincon Ave.
Although we are not thrilled, we do understand that Condition 20 of the application
requires our financial participation in the signal cost based on the number of trips our
development will add to the intersection.
As per your suggestion I contacted Mr. Gary Kruger and had Gary explain to me in
detail the method of calculating the amount of our contribution.
Based on Gary's calculations the 8 unit project will add four trips into the intersection
and on that basis our pro-rata share of the cost of the signal is 5% of $140,000.00.
However, I pointed out that there is presently 3 single family homes on the properties.
Mr. Gary Kruger agreed that the pro-rata share should be based on the Net increase in
traffic density into the intersection and that he will recalculate our pro-rata share. He
indicated that the cost to us would be substantially reduced.
Thank you in advance for reviewing this matter and we will be expecting to receive the
revised pro-rata share of our cost and we will then make the payment as required.

RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council adopt a resolution to
approve the final map for Tract No 8323 and accept the
dedications offered thereon.
DISCUSSION: On December 5, 1989 the City Council approved a
tentative map for an 8 lot townhouse subdivision at 107-129 East
Rincon rivenue. The developer has complied with all the
conditions approval of the tentative map and the final map is
therefore recommended for approval by the City Council at this
time.
