Dear Mr. Leney:
As a follow up to our phone conversation this morning, please accept this letter as written
confirmation that the above-referenced property is zoned C-1-S (Neighborhood
Commercial). Your proposed new business, a financial services/check cashing business,
is consistent with this zoning and said uses would be allowed at this location without the
requirement for a Conditional Use Permit.
There are no zoning issues outstanding that prevent you from establishing your business
at this location after you have completed your lease negotiations. Please be sure to obtain
a City of Campbell business license and secure any necessary permits for signs and/or
any tenant improvements made to your tenant space prior to their installation.
Business licenses are obtained through our City Clerk's Office, located at City Hall, 70
N. First Street, Campbell, CA. Processing of your business license will include clearance
sign offs by Planning, Building and Fire staff, which can be obtained between the hours
of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For your information, I am enclosing a Sign Application and a copy
of the City's Sign Ordinance. If you have any questions about this material, do not

I am near completion of leasc ncgotiations for appro 'ximately 1300 square feet of retail
space at the San Tomas center at the comer of Campbell Avenue and San Tomas Aquino
Road, 152A San Tomas Aquino Road. I will be establishing a retail financial services and
check cashing business at this location, to be opened in early 2004.
I spoke with Tim Haley this morning and he confirmed that this location has no zoning
issues related to my business. Please confirm in writing this is the case. You may reach
