Dear Ms. Fierro:
RE: Review of the City of Campbell's Adopted Housing Element
Thank you for submitting Campbell's adopted housing element, adopted November 20, 2001 and
received for our review on December 10,2001.. As you know, we are required to review adopted
housing elements and report our findings to the locality pursuant to Government Code Section
65585(h).
;..
We are pleased to find Campbell's adopted housing element in full compliance with State housing
element law (Article 10.6 of the government Code). We commend the City for its efforts to
promote mixed-use and infill housing in commercial areas and for its on going collaboration with
affordable housing developers. The City should continue monitoring the policies and programs
contained in the element and if necessary augment development and land-use incentives to ensure
its successful implementation.
We thank Mr.Geoff Bradley, Campbell's Senior Planner, and the Community Development staff
for arranging a tour of the City's housing sites and for their cooperation during the course of our
review. If you have any questions or if we can offer assistance in the implementation of
Campbell's housing element, please contact Michelle Woods, of our staff, at (916) 327-8881.
In accordance with their requests pursuant to the Public Records Act, we are forwarding a copy of
this letter to the individuals listed below.
Sincerely,
c~~
Deputy Director
