Dear Mr. Andre:
Please be advised that the Community Development Director has reviewed your request to permit overhead
services in lieu of the requirement to underground the utilities in conjunction with the construction of a new
residence on the above-referenced property.
Pursuant to Campbell Municipal Code section 21.18.140, this request has been granted for the following reasons:
1. The existing utility pole at the front corner of the property can not accommodate an additional riser to
allow an underground utility connection per a letter dated March 23,2005 from Jerry Wong ofP. G. &
E.
2. The significant cost of installing utilities underground to a pole 210 feet west of the project site is
excessive relative to the project cost;
3. The adjacent property owner to the north will not grant an easement for a utility connection; and
4. The likelihood that other overhead utility lines in the surrounding neighborhood will be placed
underground

Dear Community Development Director:
Per the attached letter from Pacific Gas & Electric, the power pole at the front of the property at
1105 Audrey Avenue, Campbell, CA 95008 is not available for power for referenced residence.
The owner of the property behind said residence will not grant an easement to use power pole at
rear of property. The closest available pole is 210 feet from 1105 Audrey Avenue. We
respectfully request overhead service to the referenced residence be granted by the City of
Campbell.

This letter is being sent to you to re-iterate that the utility pole in front of your
project at the above referenced locatio~ue to other utility risers already on
it-does not have enough mom to accommodate a riser to provide an
underground electric service to your project As a result, this pole cannot be
used as an underground service point for your project.
Your options are to take:
