Dear Ms. Hopson:
The Planning Division has approved your sign application for a new Master Sign Plan for the
McGlincy Business Center located at the above referenced address. The Community
Development Director finds that the Master Sign Plan complies with the design criteria of
Section 21.30.030 (G) (2) of the Campbell Municipal Code. The Director further finds:
1. That the signs are consistent with the requirements of this Chapter.
2. That the size, shape, color, and placement of the signs are compatible with the buildings
they identify and are compatible with the visual characteristics of the surrounding area so
as not to detract from or cause to decrease the value or quality of adjacent properties.
3. That both the location of the proposed signs and the design of their visual elements
(lettering, words, figures, colors, decorative motifs, spacing, and proportions) are legible
under normal viewing conditions.
4. That the location and design of the proposed signs do not obscure from view or unduly
detract from existing or adj acent signs.
5. That the location and design of the proposed signs (e.g., size, shape, illumination, and
color) are compatible with the visual characteristics of the surrounding area so as not to
detract from or cause to decrease the value or quality of adjacent properties.
6. That the location and design of signs in close proximity to any residential district does not
adversely affect the quality or character of the residential area.

The Master Sign Plan has been approved subject to the following conditions of approval:
1. All proposed signs, modifications and changes of copy/logo shall conform to the Master Sign
Plan.
2. Any proposed variations, modifications or additions to the Master Sign Plan shall require a
modification to the approved Master Sign Plan.
3. All new individual tenant signs shall receive approval of a Sign Permit from the Planning
Division and any necessary building permits from the Building Division prior to sign
installation for review with conformance with the Master Sign Plan and all applicable codes
and regulations.
4. No illumination shall be allowed for the individual tenant wall mounted signs.
5. All signs for the development shall be fabricated and installed per the approved Master Sign
Plans stamped as approved by the Planning Division on March 6, 2006.
6. The signs shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired or replaced
as necessary.

The Planning Division has reviewed your application for a new master sign plan for the
McGlincy Business Center located at the above referenced address. Staff is supportive of the
proposed signage design and configuration.
Your application has been deemed incomplete. The following information and details are needed
to deem your application complete:
1. Monument Sign Lighting: Please provide a detail of the type and location of the exterior
lighting fixture for the proposed monument signs. The Sign Ordinance requires that any
exterior lighting be concealed in shrubbery or decorative structures.
