Haley, Associate Planner~ Subject: Living Entertainment - Katie Blooms Date: August 20, 1999 As follow up to your request I have reviewed Katie Blooms request for live entertainment permit on Sunday evenings in conjunction with their Pub/Restaurant. The C-3-S(Central Business District) which is established for the downtown district permits limited live entertainment in conjunction with restaurants without a conditional use permit. It appears that Katie Bloom's request complies with the specified limitations as follows: 1) Is associated with a standard restaurant without a separate bar area. Food service is available through this establishment and consequently a separate bar area is not provide. 2) Limited to four performers 3) Has a type 41 or 47 liquor license 4) Ambient noise levels must permit normal conversation and shall not be audible fifty feet from the tenant space 5) No cover charge 6) No areas for dancing or festival seating 7) Must have a designated driver program Such live entertainment is exempt from your live entertainment procedures as specified in section 5.24.010 (c)(2) attachments: 1) Chapter 21.26 Central Business District 2) Section 5.24.010 Regulating and licensing in public places
