close proximity to the buildings and are causing maintenance problems. This situation cannot be
reasonably remedied by means other than removal. It is recommended that the tree be removed
by persons who are experienced and bonded for the removal of trees and that the stumps be

RE: Tree removal at 430 Darryl Dr. File # PLN2003-97
Dear Mr. Haley:
Please excuse the amateur site plan; I am trying to avoid using a landscape architect to
save money. If the plan is not clear please contact me right away.
Since my property already has so many trees on it is it absolutely necessary to plant two
replacements? I assume it is, but if not please let me know. The redwoods will be
replaced with Xylmos trees to match the existing Xylmos already on site.
I would like to replace these trees as soon as possible.

RE: Tree removal at 430 Darryl Dr.
Gentlemen:
This letter is a request for permission to remove two trees from 430 Darryl Dr.
I have owned the property since 1977 when it was first constructed. We planted many
trees on the property at that time. Submitted with this letter are two pictures of two
redwoods that have become problems. Unfortunately the pictures do not show the other
14 redwoods or a massive oak tree on my property.
The two trees are close to the building and the roots have been breaking water pipes and
causing water leaks in the building. In addition my neighbor is complaining that during
storms damage is being caused to her building. Letters from my neighbor and tenant are
included.
Because there are so many other trees on the property I believe there will be minimal
impact on the neighborhood.
Sincerely,
William J. Pie ect~monte

RE: Redwood Tree Maintenance for our building located at 770 West Hamilton Avenue,
Campbell, CA
Dear William:
This is a follow up letter regarding the phone conversations about the two redwood
trees located behind our building, on the ,$outhside of Darryl Avenue. When the wind
blows especially during the winter storms the wind and rain blows debris and branches
onto our roof and gutters. Some of the branches have been as large as ten feet long.
The debris clogs the roof drains, which causes water damage to the roof and damage to
the Interior ceiling to our building.
We would like your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Florenca Cadngello

This letter confirms that your property at 440 Darryl Dr., Campbell, CA 95008, has recently had
several leaks around the building. Broken sprinkler pipes around the building apparently caused
these leaks. These leaks have caused damages to your building.
