Dear Applicant,
This letter is to advise you that the zoning of the above referenced property
located at 400 Budd Avenue is zoned R-1-8 (Single-family residential) and the
current underlying General Plan designation is Low Density Residential (less
than 4.5 units per gross acre).
Building Use: The existing church building on the site may be converted to a
residential use assuming the interior improvements satisfy Building Code
requirements for a single-family dwelling. These requirements include, but are
not limited to the provision of a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, appropriate
exiting from the residence and the provision of a heating and ventilation system.
Please contact the Building Division at (408) 866 2130 regarding permits and
necessary improvements.
Parking: Additionally, the zoning ordinance would require that two on-site
parking spaces are provided on site of which one space is covered. The garage or
carport must comply with setback requires and the minimum dimensions of the
space must be 9 x 20 feet.

Open space and Landscaping: A rear yard of 750 square feet is required for open
space to the rear or side of the residence and a maximum of 50 percent of the
front yard area may be paved.
