In response to your request for a zoning verification letter received by this department
on August 8,2008, please be advised of the following:
This letter is to advise you that the zoning and use of the above-mentioned property is
governed by the laws and regulations of the City of Campbell.
1. The subject property is zoned P-D (Planned Development) and the current
General Plan designation is Commercial.
2. According to the zoning ordinance and regulations of this district, the proposed
use of this property as a hotel is a permitted use via approval of a Planned
Development Permit. (PLN 2006-179)
3. Adjacent property zoning designations:
North: Existing Light Rail Station (Valley Transportation Agency) and Highway
17 off ramp.
South: P-D (Planned Development/Commercial) Future Parking

4. Conformance: The approved/proposed hotel is considered a legal conforming
structure assuming it is construction consistent with the approve Planned
Development Permit.
5. The project site is currently vacant; however, a Building Permit was recently
approved allowing the construction of a 162 room, seven-story hotel on June, 24
2008. (BLD 2007-01421) A Planned Development Permit was approved via City
Council Ordinance No. 2068.
6. There currently is not structure on the site.
7. A review of our files indicates that there are no outstanding code enforcement
violations that apply to this property.
8. A certificate of occupancy has not been issued in that the proposed hotel is not
constructed at this time.
9. The enclosed ordinance incorporates the approved exhibits.
