Re: Tree Removal Permit
File No: PLN2006-142
240 Union Avenue/825 Apricot Avenue
Dear Mr. Hanleigh:
The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit
application (PLN2006-142) to remove one (1) Cedar tree, 10-inches in circumference, located in
the front yard of the comer property located at 240 Union A venue/825 Apricot Avenue.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a
supporting recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the tree has experienced dieback in the
canopy that cannot be controlled or remedied through preservation and/or preventative
procedures and practices that the public health or safety requires its removal.
Your request has been approved subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant is required to plant one 24-inch box tree in place of the tree approved for
removal, species and location to the satisfaction of the Community Development Director,
within 30 days of removal of the tree.
2. It is recommended that the tree be removed by persons who are experienced and bonded for
the removal of trees and that the stumps be ground out and the roots removed so there will
not be re-growth of the trees.
