Dear Applicant:
Thank you for your submittal of a Fence Exception application for the extension of an existing
fence located at 1158 Archer Way. The Fence Exception provides for the addition of a 2-foot
triple-weave lattice attached to an existing good neighbor fence along a portion of the northern
property line (side yard), where a six-foot fence is allowed. The maximum height of the
approved fence exception is eight-feet. A letter of consent was signed by the adjacent affected
property owner at 1150 Archer Way and received by the Planning Division on April 27, 2006.
The Community Development Director has determined that the requested Fence Exception:
1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of
persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the change; and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or
to the general welfare of the City.
Therefore, your request for a Fence Exception has been approved, subject to the following
conditions of approval:
1. The development of the project shall substantially conform to the plans stamped as
approved on October 24, 2006. Any modifications to the approved plans shall be reviewed
and approved by the Director.
2. The applicant shall obtain a Building Permit from the Campbell Building Division prior to
installation of the fence.

Dear Mr. Prosser,
As part of my application for an approval for a "Fence Exception" please accept this letter of
explanation to justify it necessity.
For some unknown reason my neighbors to the North, located at 1150 Archer Way, Kurt and
Lynda Nunn have taken issue with me after six years of good neighbor friendship. I have been the
victim of continual harassment over the last year which yourself, the Campbell PD and the
Assistant City Manager are well aware of. This harassment has included things like; heinous
letters to me and my friends, hate signs taped to their house facing my office window, an 8 foot
wall of unattractive chaos along our common fence line that is accentuated with multiple flood
lights at night, spotlights beamed across my backyard at night lighting up my entire airspace and
multiple complaints to the city that we are watching Lynda specifically.
I have requested mediation by the City of San Jose with the Nuon's b~ wa recommendation
from Officer Okamota. This offer was declined by the Nunn's as well as anQ~ offer from
Officer Alonzo in an effort to remedy this situation. Mr.Prosser, you have heeD kind enough
yourself to intervene and ask the Nuon's if they would consider the addition of "two feet of total
privacy lattice" on top of the common fence line. The Nunn's have responded favorably but
refused to share any cost. A copy of a letter from the Nunn's confinning that is attached for your
reference.
At this point I am willing to pay the full cost to install the privacy lattice to stop this nonsense _
do whatever it takes to provide peace to myself and family. I respectfully ask that this request ~
seriously considered and approved. I have been through a lot with this neighbor in the last year
and I truly believe this fence addition with help to alleviate the harassment
