Staff does not support the approval as follows: 1. Number of Signs: The application submitted shows two wall signs and one freestanding sign, for a total of three signs (the logo on the wall is considered a sign). Each business is allowed only one wall sign if there is also a freestanding sign. Please remove either one of the wall signs or the freestanding sign (see attached requirements of the Sign Ordinance). 2. Architectural Design: The freestanding sign shall be architecturally compatible with the building. Staff finds the narrow pole design incompatible and recommends that a more detailed base (i.e. use of stone or block base, wider base, etc.) be designed for the sign. 3. Height: The maximum height allowed for a freestanding sign is 14 feet. The proposed sign shows a height of 15 feet. Please redesign the sign to meet the height requirement of the Sign Ordinance. Note: you may request a refund for the third sign or apply for a sign exception for the third sign. Thank you for the opportunity to review this application.
