Kim,
The sign location as shown in the drawing should not create a visibility problem at Central/Grant. The building is
more of an obstruction that the sign would be.
However, care must be used in locating the sign per the drawing. Moving the sign any more to the south could
increase the visual obstruction by moving the sign beyond the location of the building in the eye of the motorist.

Dear Ms. Smith:
The Planning Division has conditionally approved your sign application (PLN2007-198) for one
freestanding sign located at 142 N. Central Avenue. The new wood sign is 7 ft., 6 in. in height and 21
square feet in area and reads "Smith Marketing Group, Inc."
This Sign Permit has been approved subject to the following conditions of approval:
1. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building and electrical permits from the Building Division
prior to sign installation.
2. The proposed freestanding sign shall be fabricated and installed per the approved plans dated
January 23,2008.
3. The proposed sign shall be architecturally designed to match the existing building.
4. The signs shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired, maintained or
replaced as necessary.
5. The proposed sign shall be located per the approved plans and shall not be located more to the
south so as to avoid visual obstruction by motorists.
