Dear Mr. Langowski:
Please be advised that the Community Development Director has reviewed your request to permit
overhead utility services in conjunction with the addition to an existing single family residence on
the above-referenced property in lieu of the requirement to underground the utilities.
Pursuant to Campbell Municipal Code Section 21.18.140 (Undergrounding of Utilities), this request
has been granted for the following reasons:
1. The existing utility pole is in the rear yard of the property and it is not likely that other utilities
will be undergrounded in this neighborhood.;
2. The need to trench underground on property exceeds the cost of relocating the existing service;
3. The new service location shortens the length of the existing overhead service; and
4. The significant time delay of installing utilities underground relative to the project schedule.
