Dear Mr. Umeda:
The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit
application (PLN2007-157) to remove one (1) Ash tree, 19 inches in diameter, as shown on the site
plan submitted on October 12, 2007, on property located at 290 W. Hamilton Avenue.
Your request has been approved subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant shall plant one (1) 24 inch box tree (Japanese Maple) on the subject property on
or before December 12, 2007.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting
recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the tree is causing property damage, including
interference with exiting utility lines. It has been determined that this situation cannot be controlled or
remedied through tree trimming.
This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of
Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Monday, November 12. 2007
at 5:00 p.m. A written appeal must be accompanied with a $100 appeal filing fee. If you have any

NOTICE OF TREE REMOVAL PERMIT
APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that the Community Development Director of the City of
Campbell has received an application for a Tree Removal Permit (PLN2007 -157) for the
removal of one Ash tree with a diameter of 19-inches located in the front yard of the
property at 290 Hamilton Avenue in the P-O (Professional Office) Zoning District (see
map on reverse). The property owner proposes to install one tree (Japanese Maple) to
replace the subject tree.
The 10 day comment period for this application shall begin on October 22, 2007 and
end on October 31,2007. Any comments regarding this application shall be submitted
in writing to the Planning Division before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 31.2007 as
a decision will be rendered after this date.
Decisions by the Community Development Director are final in 10 calendar days
following the date of approval, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of
Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, prior to the end of the appeal
period. A written appeal must be accompanied with the required $100 appeal filing fee.
