The Community Development Department approved the emergency removal of the Monterey Pine pursuant to Campbell Municipal Code § 21.32.060 on May 23, 2008. The emergency removal of the Monterey Pine is subject to the conditions of this Tree Removal Permit. Your request has been approved subject to the following condition: 1. The applicant shall plant two (2) 24-inch Crape Myrtle trees as indicated on the submitted replanting plan on or before July 30, 2008. The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination that the Chinese Elm tree is causing increasing damage to the adjacent sidewalk. It has been determined that this situation cannot be controlled or remedied through root pruning as this would increase the failure potential of the tree This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Monday, June 30, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. A written appeal must be accompanied with a $100 appeal filing fee. If you have any questions regarding this approval, please contact the Planning Division at (408) 866-2140. Sincerely, ~ury ~~~ Daniel Vanwie Assistant Planner cc: Jackie C.
