Dear Mr. Barrows:
Please be advised that the Community Development Director has reviewed your request to
permit overhead utility services in conjunction with the constnaction of a new residence on
the above-referenced property in lieu of the requirement to underground the utilities.
Pursuant to Campbell Municipal Code Section 21.18.140 (Undergrounding of Utilities), this
request has been granted for the following reasons:
1. The existing utility pole is across the street from the property;
2. The significant time delay of installing utilities underground relative to the project
schedule; and
3. The significant cost of installing utilities underground relative to the project cost.
4. Due to the established character of the neighbofiood, it is not likely that other utility
services will be underground in this neighborhood.
