Dear Mr. & Mrs. Didone,
The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Fence Exception
application to legalize an existing wood fence and retaining wall located along the street-side
(Linda Avenue) property line.
The Community Development Director, upon recommendation and review by the Public Works
Department, has determined that the requested Fence Exception satisfies the required findings
as specified by Campbell Municipal Code (CMC) ~ 21.18.060 (E):
1. Will not impair vehicular or pedestrian safety;
2. Will result in a more desirable site layout;
3. Will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of
persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the change; and
4. Will not be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or
to the general welfare of the City.
Your request for a Fence Exception has been approved; subject to the following conditions of
approval:
1. The fencing shall substantially conform to the plans stamped as received on June 25, 2008.
2. The applicant shall obtain a Building Permit from the Campbell Building Division to
legalize the as-built fence no later than September 8, 2008.
3. Pursuant to CMC ~ 21.18.020 (B), please screen the air-conditioning unit located in the front
yard from public view.

This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of
Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Friday, August 29, 2008
at 5:00 p.m. A written appeal must be accompanied with a $105 appeal filing fee. If you have
