Re: Tree Removal Permit
File No: PLN2006-85
73 Superior Drive
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Hofman:
The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit application
(PLN2006-85) to remove one (1) Cedar tree, 17-inches in circumference, located in the side yard of
property located at 73 Superior Drive.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting
recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the tree roots are causing excessive damage to the property
and cannot be controlled or remedied through preservation and/or preventative procedures and practices
that the public health or safety requires its removal.
Your request has been approved subject to the following conditions:
1. The applicant is required to plant one 24-inch box Mayten (Maytenus boaria) tree in place of the
tree approved for removal, as specified by the approved replanting plan.
2. It is recommended that the tree be removed by persons who are experienced and bonded for
the removal of trees and that the stumps be ground out and the roots removed so there will
not be re-growth of the trees.
If you have any questions please contact me at (408) 866-2144 or via email at timh@cityofcampbell.com
