Box 1945 Campbell, CA 95009 Re: Tree Removal Permit File No: PLN2007-200 230/240 Watson & 325 S. 3rd Street To Whom It May Concern: The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit application (PLN2007-200) to remove two (2) Monterey Pine trees, 28 inches and 38 inches in diameter and a one (1) Chinese Elm tree, 12 inches in diameter, as shown on the site plan submitted on December 19, 2007, on the common parking areas located at the above addresses. Your request has been approved subject to the following conditions: 1. The applicant shall plant one (1) 24 inch box tree (Canary Island) in the location of the Elm tree and two (2) 36 inch box trees (Canary Island) one each in the locations of the Monterey Pines located on the subject property on or before March 3, 2008. The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the trees are dead. This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Monday, February 3, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. A written appeal must be accompanied with a $100 appeal filing fee. The Home Owners Association responsible for the common area of the above properties will be required to replant three trees. The 10 day comment period for this application shall begin on January 8, 2008 and end on January 18, 2008. Any comments regarding this application shall be submitted in writing to the Planning Division before 5:00 p.m. on Friday January 18, 2008, as a decision will be rendered after this date. Decisions by the Community Development Director are final in 10 calendar days following the date of approval, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, prior to the end of the appeal period. A written appeal must be accompanied with the required $100 appeal filing fee.
