Letter re Legal Non-Con SLUApril 13, 2009 William Pierce P.O. Box 90344 San Jose, CA 95109 Re: Secondary Living Unit 967 Crockett Avenue APN: 403-10-068 Dear Mr. Pierce, This letter is in response to your request for a determination regarding the legality of an existing secondary living unit on property located at the above referenced address. County Assessor records indicate that this property was developed in 1938. Prior to its annexation by the City of Campbell in 1979, the property was under the jurisdiction of Santa Clara County. Prior to 1947, the County did not issue building permits for residential structures. Therefore, neither the City nor the County have building permit records for construction of the secondary living unit. In absence of documentation to the contrary, and based on an exterior analysis of the building, the Community Development Director has determined that the secondary living unit is a legal non-conforming structure, subject to the restrictions specified in Chapter 21.58 of the Campbell Municipal Code (see enclosed). If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (408) 866-2193 or by email at danielfncit o~fcampbell.com. Si rely, ~~~~ Daniel M.
