RESULT OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON JUNE 7, 1988
REORGANIZATION OF TERRITORY -DOVER 87-01
W'fiERE1~.S, the City Council of the City of Campbell duly called and
ordered held in said City a Special Municipal Election consolidated with
the Statewide Primary Election on June 7, 1988 in the unincorporated
territory known as Dover 87-01, for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electors thereof a Ballot Measure pertaining to
Reorganization.
wHERF,AS, said Special Municipal Election was held on Tuesday, June 7,
1988, and in accordance with the law and the votes thereat received and
canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared in
all respects as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL AS FOLLOTr7S
1. That the City Clerk of the City of Campbell be~and she is
hereby instructed to enter this resolution on the minutes of the City
Council as a statement of the result of said election.
2. That the whole number of votes cast in said City at said General
Municipal election was 215 votes.
3. That at said election the ballot measure. was submitted to the
electors of said City and that the number of votes given said City was as
follows:

"Shall the order adopted on March 1, 1988 by the City of
Campbell City Council ordering a reorganization affecting
the territory known as Dover 87-01, and providing for annexation
to the City of Campbell Lighting District and detachment fr~n
the Central Fire District and from the County Lighting Service

4. That by said Resolution 7511 calling said Special Municipal election
said City of Campbell was divided into one (1) precinct for the purpose
of said election, and designated as Consolidated Precinct 5591, and that

5. That all absent voters' ballots have been duly received and
canvassed in time, for and in the manner required by law, and the result
is outlined in "Exhibit A".
6. That said Resolution of the City Council of the City of Campbell
approving a reorganization of certain real property pursuant to the -
Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, designated as
Dover 87-01, is hereby enacted and confirmed, upon the popular vote of the
electorate.

CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL INITIATING REORGANIZATION OF
DESIGNATED AREAS TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL,
PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT
REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985. DOVER 87-01.
Section One: Application for a Change of Organization: This
resolution is a proposal made pursuant to the Cortese-Rnox Local
Government Reorganization Act of 1985 (Government Code Section 56000 et.
seq.), for a change of organization, that being the annexation of the
territories described in the attached exhibits to the City of Campbell.
Section Two: Description of Territory: The area proposed for
annexation to the City of Campbell is designated: DOVER 87-01. A metes
and bounds description and map of the territories proposed to be annexed
are attached as Exhibit A and Exhibit B.
Section Three: Reasons for Annexation: The reasons for the proposed
annexation are that the territory proposed to be annexed:
a) Is located within the Urban Service Area of the City of
Campbell.
b) Is substantially developed.
c) Is both receiving benefits from the City of Campbell and
will receive benefit from the annexation.
Section Four: LAFCO Review; Pursuant to Section 56826(a) of the
Government Code, the Local Agency Formation Commission is not required to
review this proposed reorganization.
Section Five: Conducting Authority: Pursuant to Section 56826(b) of
the Government Code, the City Council is designated to be the conducting
authority for the proposed reorganization.
Section Six: Public Hearing: The City Council does hereby set 7:30
p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 1988, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 70 N.
First_St., Campbell, California, as the time and place for a public
hearing to consider the proposed annexation.

regular meeting held on January 5, 1988, by the following roll call vote:

DOVER 1987-1
BEGINNING at a point in the existing Campbell city limits line, as
established by the original City of Campbell incorporation dated March 28,
1952, said point being also the southeast corner of that certain
annexation to the City of Campbell designated Lands of Benson and
Steindorf, described in Ordinance No. 30, adopted March 9, 1953;
THENCE, along the existing Campbell city limits line, as established by
said Ordinance No. 30, easterly 407.56 feet, more or less, to a corner of
the existing Campbell city limits line as established by Resolution No.
7303, Campbell Annexation Dover 86-1, adopted December 16, 1986;
THENCE, along the existing Campbell city limits line, as established by
said Resolution No. 7303, the following courses and distances:
easterly 28.48 feet, more or less;
southerly 123,47 feet, more or less;
easterly 208.40 feet, more or less;
northerly 122.83 feet, more or less;
easterly 581.55 feet, more or less;
THENCE, along the existing Campbell city limits line, as established by
Ordinance No. 246, Campbell Annexation 1959-24, dated February 23, 1960,
easterly a distance of 106.45 feet, more or less, to a point on the
centerline of Leigh Avenue, as said avenue is shown on Tract No. 1653,
Manchester Village, a map of which was filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara on January 17, 1956, in Book 66 of Maps at
page 26;
THENCE, northerly along the centerline of Leigh Avenue, as shown on the
map of Tract No. 2404, Cronwell Village, a copy of which was filed on July
21, 1959, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara in
Book 109 of Maps at page 28, said centerline being also the easterly line
of the aforesaid Campbell Annexation designated 1959-24, a distance of
261.28 feet, to the southwesterly corner of Campbell Annexation "Cherry
Woods 1962-2," as described in Ordinance No. 386, adopted June 11, 1962;

established by Ordinance No. 386, a distance of 43 feet, to the easterly
line of said Leigh Avenue;
THENCE, southerly along said easterly line of Leigh Avenue, 755.58 feet,
to the centerline of McBain Avenue, as said avenue is shown on that map of
Tract No. 2781, Leigh Glen, a copy of which was filed on August 24, 1960,
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara in Book 124 of
Maps at page 33;
THENCE, westerly along said centerline of McBain Avenue, a distance of 43
feet, to the said centerline of Leigh Avenue;
THENCE, southerly along the centerline of Leigh Avenue as shown on said
map of Tract No. 2781, and as said centerline is shown on the map of Tract
No. 1442, Shadow Woods Unit No. 1, a copy of which was filed on June 2,
1955, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara in Book
57 of Maps at page 37, and as said centerline is shown on the map of Tract

15, 1955, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara in

THENCE, along the existing Campbell city limits line as established by
Ordinance No. 345, "Leigh 1961-12," dated August 14, 1961, westerly
1,344.51 feet, more or less;
THENCE, along the existing Campbell city limits line as established by
