Box 320456 Los Gatos, CA 95032 Re: Tree Removal Permit File No: PLN2008-121 858A Apricot Avenue Dear Ms. Horwitz, The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit application (PLN2008-121) to remove one (1) Camphor tree, 38 inches in circumference, on property located adjacent to 858A Apricot Avenue. Your request has been approved subject to the following condition: 1. The applicant shall plant one (1) 24 inch box tree, from the City of Campbell's recommended tree replacement list (enclosed), as indicated on the submitted replanting plan, on or before November 13, 2008. The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting recommendation by a Certified Arborist, that the tree risks damaging adjacent structures. It has been determined that this situation cannot be controlled or remedied through tree trimming or pruning, as this would increase the failure potential of the trees. This approval is final in 10 calendar days, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, on or before Friday, September 12, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. A written appeal must be accompanied with a $105 appeal filing fee. The Home Owners Association proposes to plant one 24-inch box replacement tree. The 10 day comment period for this application shall begin on August 19, 2008 and end on August 29, 2008. Any comments regarding this application must be submitted in writing to the Planning Division before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008 as a decision will be rendered after this date. Decisions by the Community Development Director are final in 10 calendar days following the date of approval, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N.
