Campbell Avenue Dear Aris, In response to your inquiry of October 13, 2009, the Community Development Department has reviewed the 5 year approval granted to MetroPCS on July 19, 2004, for the referenced property. Subsequent to that approval, the State of California has adopted California Government Code section 65964 that states: That a City shall not unreasonably limit the duration of any permit for a wireless telecommunications facility. Limits of less than 10 years are presumed to be unreasonable absent compelling land use or public safety reasons. Therefore, a minimum ten year approval period is a considered a reasonable limit and consequently, your original approval has been extended until July 19, 2014.
