Tree Removal Permit - 2009December 8, 2009 George and Linda Walton 1428 Maysun Court Campbell, CA 95008 Re: File No: PLN2009-142 Address: 1428 Maysun Court Application: Tree Removal Permit Dear Applicant: The Community Development Director has conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit application (PLN2009-142) for the removal of three (3) <24-inch diameter Bailey's Acacia trees located in the rear yard of property located at the above referenced address. Your request has been approved subject to the following Condition of Approval: 1. The applicant shall plant three (3) 24-inch Valley Oak trees as indicated on the submitted replanting plan. The replacement tree shall be planted within 30 days of the. effective date of this approval, unless accepted horticultural practices dictate a preferential planting period for the species chosen as a replacement tree. The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting recommendation by a Certified Arborist that the trees are irreparably diseased and present a potential danger of falling that cannot be controlled or remedied through reasonable preservation and/or preventative procedures and practices. This approval is final in 10 calendar days of the Community Development Director's decision, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, on or before December 21, 2009. If an appeal is received, you will be immediately notified of its receipt. Otherwise, you may remove the subject tree at the close of the appeal period. Sincerely, Steve Prosser Associate Planner cc: Paul Kermoyan, Planning Manager November 19, 2009 NOTICE OF TREE REMOVAL PERMIT APPLICATION Notice is hereby given that the Community Development Director of the City of Campbell has received an application for a Tree Removal Permit (PLN2009-142) for the removal of three Bailey Acacia trees located in the rear yard of 1428 Maysun Court, due to the presence of irreparable disease. The applicant has proposed to replant this tree with three 24-inch box Valley Oak trees near this location. This application will be decided by the Community Development Director and you have the opportunity to provide comment prior to the Director's decision. The ten-day comment period for this application begins on November 20, 2009 and ends November 30, 2009. Any comments regarding this application must be submitted in writing (including email) to the Planning Division before 5:00 p.m. on November 30, 2009. The Director will then consider all comments submitted within this time period prior to a decision. Decisions by the Community Development Director are final in 10 calendar days following the date of approval, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, 70 N. First Street, Campbell, prior to the end of the appeal period. A written appeal must be accompanied with the required $105 appeal filing fee. Please contact the project planner in a timely manner to determine what decision was reached. Copies of the Arborist Report and project plans are available for review from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Community Development Department, City Hall, 70 North First Street, Campbell, California.
