Tree Removal Permit - 2010Community Development Department June 28, 2010 Mike Davis Valley Crest Tree Care 825 Mabury Road San Jose, CA 95113 Re: File No: PLN2010-122 Address: 910 E. Hamilton Avenue Application: Tree Removal Permit Dear Mr. Davis, On June 25, 2010 the Community Development Director conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit application (PLN2010-122) for the removal of six (6) Monterey Pine trees located at the above referenced address. Your request has been approved subject to the following Condition of Approval: The applicant shall plant six (6) replacement 24-inch box Crape Myrtle trees as shown on the submitted replanting plan. The replacement trees shall be planted within 30 days of the effective date of this approval, unless accepted horticultural practices dictate a preferential planting period for the species chosen as replacement trees. The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with a supporting recommendation by a Certified Arborist that the trees are in a poor and declining condition due to an improper planting location leading to micronutritional deficiency, sun damage, limb breakage, deadwood, and reduced canopy spread. It has further been determined that these issues cannot adequately be solved through reasonable means due to the improper location of the trees. This approval is final in 10 calendar days of the Community Development Director's decision, unless an appeal is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, on or before July 5, 2010. If an appeal is received, you will be immediately notified of its receipt. Otherwise, you may remove the subject tree at the close of the 10 day appeal period. If you have any questions regarding this approval, please contact me at (408) 866-2193 or via email at danielf(a~cityofcampbell.com.
