Application: Tree Removal Permit
Dear Mr. Burman:
On July 14, 2010, the Community Development Director conditionally approved your Tree Removal Permit
application (PLN2010-139) for the removal of one (1) Cedar tree located at the above referenced address.
Your request has been approved subject to the following Condition of Approval:
The applicant shall plant one (1) 24-inch box tree on the property. The applicant may choose a tree
species from the City's recommended tree replacement list enclosed. The replacement tree shall be
planted within 30 days of the effective date of this approval, unless accepted horticultural practices
dictate a preferential planting period for the species chosen as a replacement tree.
Due to the fact that the project site is severely under-landscaped (code requires that a minimum of 8% of a
project site area within the Light Industrial zone district contain landscaping), the City is unable to grant your
request for payment of an in-lieu fee rather than requiring on-site replacement.
The Tree Removal Permit has been approved based upon the City's determination, with supporting
recommendation from a tree specialist, that the tree is causing damage to an adjacent commercial structure and
in severe decline due to disease.
This approval is final in 10 calendar days of the Community Development Director's decision, unless an appeal
is received in writing at the City of Campbell City Clerk's Office, on or before July 25, 2010. If an appeal is
received, you will be immediately notified of its receipt. Otherwise, you may remove the subject tree at the close
of the 10 day appeal period. If you have any questions regarding this approval, please contact me at (408) 866-
2142 or via email at stevep@cityofcampbell.com.
Sincerely,
