Subject: Downtown Parking In-Lieu Fee Policy
At its regular meeting of July 6, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution 11194
suspending the Downtown Parking In-Lieu Fee Policy.

RESOLUTION NO. 11194
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL
SUSPENDING THE INTERIM DOWNTOWN PARKING IN-LIEU
FEE
WHEREAS, on November 20, 2007 the City Council adopted an Interim
Downtown Parking In-Lieu Fee Policy whereby new downtown land uses that created a
parking impact would be required to pay an in-lieu fee to be used to create new parking
downtown; and
WHEREAS, the funds collected were to be deposited toward the construction of
anew parking structure as a part of the East Civic Center Maser Plan;
WHEREAS, after two and one half years no fees have been collected and
funding for the East Civic Center Master Plan is still several years out while economic
conditions are making it increasingly challenging for business to expand.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Campbell City Council
suspends the Interim Downtown Parking In-Lieu Fee Policy indefinitely.
