Hamilton Ave. Application: Sign Permit -Safeway Commercial Center Dear Ms. Dalke: The Planning Division has conditionally approved this Sign Permit application (PLN2010-305) for ten signs described below located as shown of the building elevations and site plan section submitted with the Sign Permit application, on property located at the above referenced address. Pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No. 4001, the Community Development Director has determined that the proposed signage is consistent with the Master Sign Program for the Safeway Commercial Center, approved by the Planning Commission at its meeting of November 9, 2010. Conditionally Approved Signage: 1. One 124.4 sq. ft. internally illuminated channel letter sign consisting of "Safeway" and the Safeway logo attached to the main Safeway building wall. 2. One 19.62 sq. ft. internally illuminated logo sign consisting of "Signature Cafe" attached to the main Safeway building wall. 3. One 19.62 sq. ft. internally illuminated logo sign consisting of "Starbucks Coffee" attached to the main Safeway building wall. 4. One 33.18 sq. ft. internally illuminated channel letter sign consisting of "Pharmacy" and the pharmacy logo attached to the main Safeway building wall. 5. One 16.4 sq. ft. internally illuminated channel letter sign consisting of "US Bank" and the US Bank logo attached to the main building wall. 6. One 40.33 sq. ft. internally illuminated channel letter sign consisting of "Safeway" and the Safeway Logo attached to the north elevation of the refueling station canopy. 7. One 63.4 sq. ft. internally illuminated channel letter sign consisting of "Safeway" and the Safeway Logo attached to the east elevation of the refueling station canopy. PLN2010-305 ~ 950 W. One monument sign consisting of a maximum of 55 sq. ft. of total sign area currently depicting four sign panels with two blank, one Safeway panel and one Home Consignment Panel located along the Hamilton Avenue frontage adjacent to the main ingress/egress driveway. 9. One gasoline price monument sign consisting of a maximum of 27.5 sq. ft. in total sign area (13.75 sq. ft. of price modules, 9.17 sq. ft. of Safeway identification signage, and 4.58 sq. ft. discount panel). The gasoline monument is located along the Hamilton Avenue frontage in front of the gasoline service station. 10. One pad commercial building monument sign consisting of a maximum of 32 sq. ft. of total sign which is currently depicted as two blank panels located along the Hamilton Avenue frontage in front of the pad commercial building. This Sign Permit has been approved subject to the following requirements and/or revisions: 1. The proposed gasoline price signage shall include the capability to manually reduce the internal illumination intensity. 2. The applicant shall obtain any necessary building permits from the Building Division prior to sign installation. 3. The signs shall be fabricated and installed per the approved plans dated as received on December 23, 2010, for the Safeway wall and refueling canopy signage and February 2, 2011, for the three monument signs. 4. The signs shall be maintained in good condition at all times and shall be repaired or replaced as necessary.
