A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH ALMAS INTERNATIONAL
FOR THE MOVE OF THE AINSLEY HOUSE IN THE AMOUNT OF $179,858
AND APPROVING AN $18,000 CONTINGENCY
WHEREAS, on September 19, 1989 the City Council approved the
relocation and renovation of the Ainsley House for use as the Campbell
Historical Museum; and
WHEREAS, the move of the Ainsley House is extremely complex and will
require specialized engineering and moving skills to move it without
damage to it; and
WHEREAS, the City solicited qualifications and received proposals
from three firms; and
WHEREAS, Almas International submitted the lowest cost proposal and
provides the highest level of expertise and experience for the move;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the attached contract with Almas International is hereby
approved for the move of the Ainsley House, in the amount of $179,958, and
approval of an $18,000 contingency.

call vote:
