BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING CHARLENE M. CASE FOR THIRTY YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Charlene M. Case has been employed by the City of Campbell since
March 7, 1960; and, has served as a Secretary I and Steno-Clerk for the Public
Works Department for fifteen years; and as Administrative Aide since July 1,
19 75;
WHEREAS, Charlene M. Case, while an employee of the City, attended West
Valley Coiiege evenings and Saturdays, tivas honored by being named to the Permanent
Dean's List for her scholastic achievement, earning an Associate of Arts degree;
WHEREAS, Charlene M. Case personally developed, implemented and has successfully
operated the City's service request system which has proven to be an important
resource for initiating service responses, providing customer responses and giving
department managers valuable management information;
WHEREAS, Charlene M. Case helped acquire and administer millions of dollars
in State grants used to develop parks and construct pedestrian and bicycle projects
including the highly successful Los Gatos Creek Streamside Park.
WHEREAS, Charlene M. Case has represented the City with particular skill and
professionalism in receiving service requests from the citizens and in events and
activities such as Arbor Day, the 40th Anniversary of the Italian Republic and
the annual celebration of Festa Bella Repubbiica Italians;
WHEREAS, Charlene M. Case was nominated as a "Woman of Achievement" for
Santa Clara County in 1975;
WHEREAS, the City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Campbell and the employees
of the City wishes to express its appreciation to Charlene M. Case for thirty years
of loyal and valuable service and best wishes for continued success and achievement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell declares March 12, 1990, CHARLENE M. BARBANO CASE DAY in
the City of Campbell.
