A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN FOR THE
EAST CAMPBELL AVENUE PORTAL PROJECT (11-EE)
WHEREAS, In May of 2007, the City Council approved the East Campbell Avenue (ECA)
Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, this plan included recommended public improvements including the
construction of "pedestrian portals" through the existing abutments of the Highway 17
overpass; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2012, the City Council approved the feasibility study and the
conceptual design for the portal project; and
WHEREAS, public meetings and a Council Study Session were held to discuss the portal
design and portal fapade concepts; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended a preliminary design for the project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the preliminary design as outlined by staff.
