A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR
STATE FUNDS FROM PROPOSITION 84 WITH ABAG FOR THE HACIENDA
AVENUE GREEN STREET PROJECT 08-04
WHEREAS, the 2002 Senate Bill 1672 created the Integrated Regional Water
Management (IRWM) Act to encourage local agencies to work cooperatively to manage
local and imported water supplies to improve the quality, quantity, and reliability of water
resources; and
WHEREAS, California voters passed the 2006 Proposition 84, Safe Drinking Water,
Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act
providing $1,000,000,000 for IRWM Planning and Implementation; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Water Resources (DWR), acting as the IRWM
program administrator, awarded the first round of Proposition 84 grants which included
the BACWA IRWM Program in August 2011; and
WHEREAS, the Hacienda Avenue Green Street Project 08-04 was included as a project
in the BACWA IRWM program and was awarded grant funds of $2M; and
WHEREAS, the City is a grant sub-recipient to ABAG and BACWA for the Hacienda
Avenue Green Street Project 08-04.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a project agreement between the
City of Campbell and ABAG for the IRWM grant program.
