AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ISSUE A REQUEST
FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC ART ON THE
EAST CAMPBELL AVENUE PORTAL PROJECT 11-EE
WHEREAS, the portals concept was a component of the East Campbell Avenue (ECA)
Master Plan: and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 2012, the City Council approved the feasibility study and the
conceptual design for the portal project; and
WHEREAS, public meetings and a Council Study Session were held to discuss the portal
design and portal facade concepts; and
WHEREAS, many City capital projects include a public art component and it is desired to
have a public art component on the East Campbell Avenue Portal Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the City Engineer to issue a Request for Qualifications for public art on
the East Campbell Avenue Portal Project 11-EE.
