A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING
THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR THE MANAGEMENT
AND OPERATIONS OF THE CAMPBELL HERITAGE THEATRE AND AUTHORIZING
THE DIRECTOR OF RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO AWARD THE
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City has adopted a business model for the Campbell Heritage Theatre that
relies on the selection of a qualified individual or company to manage and oversee the
operations of the Theatre: and
WHEREAS, the existing management and operations agreement has been in effect for a
period of over ten years; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the City's best interest to solicit competitive proposals to
ensure the most advantageous operation of the Theatre
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves the issuance of an
RFP to identify a qualified theatre management services company to operate the Theatre
for a period of three years with options for two additional three-year extensions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the Recreation and
Community Services Director to award a contract for this service to the Proposer whose
proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the City.
