A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING NEIL COLLINS, CAMPBELL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, Neil Collins was appointed Executive Director of the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce in January 2010 and was responsible for the Chamber's day-to-day operations and
long-term strategic planning; and
WHEREAS, the Campbell Chamber of Commerce is a respected professional business
organization today largely as a result of the leadership Neil Collins provided as Executive
Director; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber implemented numerous innovative programs and processes during
Neil's leadership including the use of e-newsletters, social media, videos, and a streamlined
website; and
WHEREAS, during Neil's tenure, Chamber membership increased and the newsletter
subscriber base expanded significantly; and
WHEREAS, prior to his appointment as Executive Director, Neil Collins owned and operated
Trailsloggers in downtown Campbell and served as President of the Downtown Campbell
Business Association (DCBA) from the Spring of 2006 through 2009; and
WHEREAS, Neil Collins resigned as Executive Director in December 2012 and accepted a
position as Chief Executive Officer for the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT REVOLVED, that the Campbell City Council hereby commends
Neil Collins for the leadership he has provided to the Campbell Chamber of Commerce during
his tenure as Executive Director, and expresses appreciation to Neil for the many contributions
he has made to the Campbell community as a local business owner, President of the Downtown
Campbell Business Association and as Executive Director of the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce.
