A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
SUPERINTENDENT TO AWARD THE POLICE EVIDENCE ROOM STORAGE
CONTRACT TO SYSTEMS AND SPACE INC., VIA THE STATE BID.
WHEREAS, replacement of the Police Department's Evidence Room Storage is funded
in the FY 2012/13 Capital Improvement Budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Campbell's Purchasing Policy, if the
equipment's estimated fair market value is greater than Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
the formal bid process can be exempted when the City is participating in an established
governmental cooperative agreement; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified Systems and Space Inc. as the supplier with the best
storage shelving that meets the Police Departments requirements; and
WHEREAS, Systems and Space Inc. is a company that has a contract with the State of
California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve specifications
and purchase of the Police Department's storage shelving via State Bid from Systems
and Space Inc., not to exceed $54,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works
Superintendent to award the contract for the Police Department's storage shelving to
Systems and Space Inc.
