A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE CHEVROLET
CAPRICE POLICE PATROL SEDAN (Resolution/Roll Call Vote)
WHEREAS, a mid year budget adjustment was authorized by City Council on February
19, 2013, to transfer funds to the FY 2012/13 Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
Budget, for the purchase of a 2012 Chevrolet Caprice patrol sedan; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Campbell's Municipal Code 3.20.070, the
City can elect to purchase directly from a municipality or agency that has used bidding
procedures that are reasonably consistent with Campbell Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the estimated fair value for this unit is greater than $25,000; therefore,
Council authorization to purchase the vehicle is required; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the purchase of one new 2012 Chevrolet Caprice patrol sedan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the Public Works
Superintendent to award the contract for this new equipment to the lowest responsible
bidder, Wondries Fleet Group, 1247 W. Main Street, Alhambra, CA.
