BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A
ZONE CHANGE FROM PD (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT) TO PD-H
(PLANNED DEVELOPMENT/HISTORIC OVERLAY) ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 90 S. FIRST STREET. FILE NO. ZC 94-03.
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the City-initiated
application for approval of a Zone Change from PD (Planned Development) to PD-H
(Planned Development/Historic Overlay) on property located at 90 S. First Street and
after presentation by the Planning Staff, proponents and opponents, the hearing was
closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission finds as
follows with regard to Application No. ZC 94-03:
The proposed Zone Change from PD to PD-H (Historic Overlay) will help preserve
and protect the historic characteristic of this property.
The Historic combining District will not impair the orderly development of this
site with a public park use.
3. The Historic Overlay Zoning District is required under the Historic Preservation
Ordinance to designate the property as an Historic Landmark.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and
concludes that:
1. The property has unique and special characteristics.
2. The project, subject to the required conditions, will be consistent with the General
Plan.
3. The project, subject to the required conditions, will aid in the harmonious
development of the immediate area.
