A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING A NEW ONE DAY SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT TO THE SAN
JOSE FIREFIGHTERS BURN FOUNDATION TO HOLD A FIREFIGHTERS
CHILI COOK-OFF EVENT IN DOWNTOWN CAMPBELL ON SATURDAY,
AUGUST 17, 2013
WHEREAS, The City of Campbell Special Event Policy requires City Council
Approval for New Special Events, the Applicant has submitted an application for
a New Special Event, and has paid the required application review fees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby approve a new one day special event permit and
resolution to Joseph Rondone on behalf of the San Jose Firefighters Burn
Foundation to hold a Firefighters Chili Cook-Off special event in Downtown
Campbell on Saturday August 17, 2013, subject to the following conditions:
1. The hours of operation for this event shall be restricted from 10:00 am to
5:00 pm with street closure beginning at 6:00 am and reopening to normal
traffic use by 10:00 pm August 17, 2013
2. The event will conclude no later than 5:00 pm
3. Alcohol Sales must cease no later than 4:30 pm
4. A security and staffing plan must be approved by City Staff
5. The Santa Clara County Fire Chief's Association must endorse the event
6. Projected City Costs must be paid to the City in advance of the event
7. The event organizers must obtain all required permits and licenses
8. Persons serving alcohol at the event must participate in Department of
Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) training prior to the event
