A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CONSULTANT
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO AWARD AND
EXECUTE AGREEMENT FOR THE
VIRGINIA AVENUE SIDEWALKS PROJECT
WHEREAS,. the Virginia Avenue Sidewalks Project would design and construct
sidewalks on Virginia Avenue between Budd and Hacienda Avenues; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell applied for and was awarded a $708,240 Vehicle
Emissions Reduction Based at Schools (VERBS) Program Grant for the Virginia
Avenue Sidewalks Project; and
WHEREAS, the VERBS grant requires an 11.47 percent local match amounting to
$91,760; and
WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) reserves will serve as the source of
the required local match of $91,760; and
WHEREAS, land surveying consultant services are needed during the design process;
and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost for land surveying consultant services is $32,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is hereby
authorized to issue a Request for Proposals for land surveying and other consultant
services, and to award and execute agreements with the most qualified firm for the
Virginia Avenue Sidewalks Project.
