A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT
TO THE ON-CALL MATERIALS ASSURANCE TESTING AND GEOTECHNICAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, it is necessary to conduct materials testing during design and construction
of public works projects; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 11126 authorized the issuance of an RFP for Materials
Testing Services and authorized the Public Works Director to enter into a contract with
the selected materials testing provider in a cumulative amount not to exceed $250,000;
and
WHEREAS, in June of 2010, the firm RMA Group was selected as the most qualified to
perform the, required services and a contract was executed with RMA Group; and
WHEREAS, RMA Group has provided accurate and timely service; and
WHEREAS, various upcoming projects require the use of certifiable, qualified material
testing services in compliance with Caltrans requirements; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to deliver the projects in an efficient and timely manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute an amendment to the On-Call
Materials Assurance Testing and Geotechnical Services Agreement.
