RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO REQUEST FORMAL BIDS TO
PURCHASE NEW HECKLER & KOCH HK45 DUTY FIREARMS AND RELATED
ACCESSORIES, AND TO AWARD THE PURCHASE CONTRACT TO THE
LOWEST QUALIFIED BIDDER
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has adopted a budget for
the 2013-14 fiscal year that allocates funding for new service pistols and related
accessories; and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department is currently utilizing service pistols that are
over 15 years old and are in need of replacement; and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department has researched appropriate replacement
weapons for duty use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Police Department is authorized to request formal bids to purchase new
Heckler & Koch HK45 pistols and related accessories, and to enter into a purchase
agreement with the lowest qualified bidder.
