A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE NEW
2013 CHEVROLET CAPRICE MARKED PATROL VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the Police Department has selected the Chevrolet Caprice as their
preferred vehicle for marked vehicle operations; and ,
WHEREAS, the current Fiscal Year 2013/14, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
Operating Budget has appropriated funds for replacement of three patrol vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to purchase
three new 2013 Chevrolet Caprice police patrol vehicles from the Wondries Fleet
Group; and;
WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the City obtain the County of Santa Clara's
services for the installation of safety equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the Public
Works Director to award the contract to purchase three new 2013 Chevrolet Caprice
police patrol vehicles from Wondries Fleet Group and authorizes the installation of the
safety equipment to be done by the County of Santa Clara.
