A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN EQUIPMENT
SHARING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CAMPBELL,
TOWN OF LOS GATOS, AND CITY OF CUPERTINO
WHEREAS, it has become increasingly more difficult to maintain an inventory of all
equipment needed to appropriately maintain municipal infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, under the Equipment Sharing Agreement (ESA), the City of Campbell,
Town of Los Gatos and City of Cupertino will each maintain an equipment catalog
indicating what equipment is available within their fleets for sharing and establishing
rental rates, conditions, and specifications for each piece of equipment; and
WHEREAS, the partnering that is enabled through this ESA marks a significant step
forward in the delivery of efficient and cost-effective services; and
WHEREAS, any costs associated with this ESA would be addressed with operating
funds that would otherwise be spent on equipment rental for specialized equipment
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute an Equipment Sharing
Agreement between the City of Campbell, the Town of Los Gatos and the City of
Cupertino.
