BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH CSG CONSULTANTS
FOR A CONTRACT CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AND A BUILDING
INSPECTOR TO SERVE ON A TEMPORARY PART-TIME BASIS FOR A
PERIOD OF UP TO FOUR MONTHS WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR AN
EXTENSION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CITY MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain part-time consulting services to provide a supplemental
staffing for a Code Enforcement Officer and a Building Inspector for the purpose of performing
routine division assignments; and
WHEREAS, CSG Consultants has qualified consultants with the expertise, means and ability to
provide code enforcement and building inspection services on a supplemental staffing basis;
and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 10.7 of the City Council's Administrative Policies, the City
Council reserves the ability to authorize the hiring of consultants whose charges will exceed
$15,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department will be able to cover the costs for Code Enforcement services
through salary savings; and
WHEREAS, the Department will be able to cover the costs for Building Inspection services as a
budget adjustment at midyear based on revenue projections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the Community Development Director to execute an agreement between the City of
Campbell and CSG Consultants for Code Enforcement and Building Inspection services for a
period of four months and authorizing the City Manager to extend the contract for an additional
six months at his discretion.
