A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY.000NCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) TO PROVIDE WIFI
SERVICE IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA, CIVIC CENTER AND COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City's Downtown is a vibrant and attractive feature for the City; and
WHEREAS, provision of free WiFi access may increase interest in the Downtown, and bring
additional visitors; and
WHEREAS, there are multiple means of providing WiFi service, including commercial, publicly
funded and private/public partnerships; and
WHEREAS, a determination of approximate costs will provide a foundation for the determination
as to the feasibility of implementing WiFi in the Downtown.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby approve issuance of a Request for Information to determine the options and costs for
providing WiFi service in the Downtown area..
