BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH PMC CONSULTANTS
FOR A CONTRACT CITY PLANNER TO SERVE ON A TEMPORARY
FULL-TIME BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF EIGHT (8) WEEKS UNTIL SUCH
TIME AS AN IN-.HOUSE CITY PLANNER IS HIRED WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR AN EXTENSION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CITY
MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain temporary full-time consulting services to fill a vacancy
within the Planning Division for the purpose of performing routine city planning assignments;
and
WHEREAS, PMC Consultants has qualified consultants with the expertise, means and ability to
provide city planning on a supplemental staffing basis; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 10.7 of the City Council's Administrative Policies, the City
Council reserves the ability to authorize the hiring of consultants whose charges will exceed
$15,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department will be able to cover the costs for City Planning services through
salary savings and a budget adjustment based on revenue projections; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the Community Development Director to execute an agreement between the City of
Campbell and PMC Consultants for City Planning services for a period of eight weeks and
authorizing the City Manager to extend the contract for an .additional six months at his
discretion.
