BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE ANNUAL FUEL CONTRACT
AND AUTHORIZING A CALL FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, an annual fuel contract has been determined to be the most cost effective
method of procuring fuel for City vehicles, and;
WHEREAS, an annual fuel contract with a single vendor provides maximum
accountability and quality control for the City's fuel supply, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has been presented with
specifications for the furnishing and delivery of unleaded fuel for City vehicles, and;
WHEREAS, the specifications for purchase and delivery of unleaded fuel for City
vehicles provides for cone-year contract with four one-year extensions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the specifications for the annual fuel contract are adopted and approved, and that
the Public Works Director or his designee is authorized and directed to give notice
inviting sealed proposals for said annual fuel contract in the manner and for the time
prescribed by law, and is further authorized to award a contract to the lowest
responsible bidder.
