A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING
ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC
WORKS DIRECTOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MOST
QUALIFIED FIRM FOR STREET SWEEPING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City provides street sweeping services as a Best Management Practice (BMP)
to address pollutants of concern that adversely impact the beneficial uses of the South San
Francisco Bay; and
WHEREAS, the existing street sweeping contract will expire on June 30, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with a request from staff to approve the
specifications and authorize issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for street sweeping
services within the City; and
WHEREAS, a one (1) year agreement from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 201'5, with fdur (4)
one-year extensions upon mutual agreement of both parties, will provide for street sweeping
services throughout the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
approves the specifications for the annual street sweeping contract, authorizes the issuance of
a Request for Proposals (RFP) and authorizes the Public Works Director or his designee to
execute an agreement with the most qualified firm.
